Chris, Lucy and I just got back from a long weekend in southern California visiting Chris' brother Kevin, his wife April and their new baby Elizabeth who is 8 weeks old. We did lots of fun things with them...we went to Disney's California Adventure Friday night to go trick-or-treating, and Lucy got to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse! She thought that was very cool. We also went to San Diego's Wild Animal Park and visited a pumpkin patch. Lucy got some good use out of her ladybug Hall-o-ween costume! We loved spending time with them and meeting their pretty little girl. We also loved getting to have a short visit with an old friend of mine from high school. Our fun came to an end though Sunday night when we found out that our flight was so delayed that we would miss our connection, and every flight that night was overbooked because of the holiday weekend. We tried to go standby on two different flights, but didn't get on those flights. So we ended up having to take the first flight out the next morning. We were all so tired! But the trip was worth it.
